Description of the main operating modes of MD “KROM2-M”

Power up

A splash screen appears

Then “information” mode (last 3 seconds.)
Top line: frequency, current TX.
Bottom line: RX voltage and power information. gain

Main mode

The main mode “Dynamics”
Top line: “VDI number”, “response amplitude”
S “threshold of detection of ferrous metals” _ “threshold of detection of non-ferrous metals”
F “filter number” “supply voltage”
The bottom line is the “histogram” of responses.

 

The main mode “Static”
Top line: same as in “Dynamics”
Bottom line: “Graphic. amplitude indicator
Modes switch button “MODE”
The “-” button adjusts the sensitivity to non-ferrous metals from 1 to 9, the largest number is the less sensitivity. A value of 0 disables the sounding of non-colored targets.
The “+” button is also for non-ferrous metals.
The “0” button – reset for static mode and tuning to the ground. The setting is as follows: Lift the coil above the ground (1m) briefly press “0” to lower to the ground for a long time to press “0”.

The top line (**) is the amplitude of the response, indicating “gravity” or mineralization of the soil (0-10) <- **> The phase of the soil, usually around -90.
A long press of the “-” button switches the filter numbers. Long press the “+” button “on-off” of the backlight. Indication of the backlight “*”.

A long press of the “MODE” button takes the device to the settings menu. “Discriminator”

Left “black” / right “colored”. The “+” and “-” buttons allow you to move the cursor, the “0” button sets and removes the mask. In the figure, the VDI is cut with the values –80-100 and from +20 to + 30.

Pressing the “Mode” button takes the device to the next mode.  “ADC zero adjustment mode” (it is configured once)

It is better to carry out with disabled or closed RX
Top line: ADC voltage
Bottom line: Name of the mode and “coefficient zero”.
The “*” icon here and below speaks about the possibility of auto-tuning. Enable auto-tuning key “0”
Manual mode keys “+” and “-“

Pressing the “Mode” button takes the device to the next mode. “The setting mode of the display voltage” (configured once)

Top line: Power supply.
Bottom line: Mode name and voltage ratio.
Manual mode keys “+” and “-“

Top line: Current TX.
Bottom line: Mode Name and Frequency
Resonance TX can be found in the automatic mode button “0” and manual buttons “+” and “-“.

Pressing the “Mode” button takes the device to the next mode.  “Auto-balance sensor” (removes unbalance up to 1V)

Top line: “Voltage Information” mV
A-amplitude auto-balance.
Bottom line: Mode Name and Ph – auto-balance phase
The more is available in manual and automatic mode – long “0”.

Setting in automatic mode long press “0”. The message “No ferrite” and then “Take ferrite” appear, after which you need to bring a piece of ferrite in the center of the coil at a distance of 5-10 cm.
In case of successful setting, the message “OK!” Will appear.
