PROGRAM MicroCONTROLLER FOR CLONE PI W

HOW TO PROGRAM MicroCONTROLLER FOR CLONE PI W

Many radio amateurs (especially beginners) want to assemble a metal detector. At first, they assemble circuits on logic, but then it is time to master devices on microcontrollers, since they can be relatively simple with good characteristics. Here the PROGRAM MicroCONTROLLER FOR CLONE PI W.

One such fairly good microcontroller metal detector is the Clone pi w metal detector. The advantages of this device:

  1. Excellent sensitivity (approximately 10 rubles per 25-27 cm with a correctly assembled and adjusted circuit)
  2. There is an LED display that can show approximately the depth of the metal object.
  3. There is a “barrier” property that allows you to isolate the device from the ground.
  4. Volume control is available.
  5. If the device malfunctions, press the reset button to remove the malfunction.
  6. Points 3, 4, 5 – all adjustments are made using buttons, not knobs (variable resistors).

You will find the board and the diagram on the forum, since there is a lot of this stuff there and I don’t need to explain it again.

First, assemble all the logic (solder in all the components except the controller). But I’ll tell you everything about the controller.

First, you will need to buy a programmer on AliExpress, it is not expensive, about 2 dollars.

After purchasing the programmer, you need to install the latest version of the drivers on it and download the firmware program. It is easy to figure it out, since it is in Russian (download it from this site). Now bite off (as I did) the plug, or you can not bite off, but the point is that you correctly connect the programmer to the controller according to this photo:

We connect the controller directly to each other via wires.

Next, open the program (yellow chip icon) and select the controller (in our case, ATMEGA 8A). Select the firmware for our clone (you can find it on the website), I recommend firmware version 1.2.2, as it is universal. And paste the firmware into this line:

PROGRAM MicroCONTROLLER FOR CLONE PI W

We don’t look at the controller and the firmware type, because this photo is only for showing where to put the firmware. And we install the fuses as in the picture! Fuses are designated as “Fuses”.

PROGRAM MicroCONTROLLER FOR CLONE PI W

And we press programming in both lines. If you have connected everything correctly, then everything will be programmed, and if something is wrong, then it will write “error”. Especially for the site Radioschemes – Svyatoslav.
