Clone PI-AVR Metal Detector

Clone Pi AVR is a simplified and improved version, popular with the amateur radio detector Clone PI . Since the manufacture of the metal detector Clone PI, many had difficulty acquiring the ADC, the new version of the metal detector Clone AVR, the Peak controller and the external ADC were replaced with an available AVR microcontroller with an internal Atmega8 ADC .

Clone PI AVR is a modern pulse microcontroller metal detector with LCD screen and audible indication. The principle of operation is based on the excitation of pulsed eddy currents in a metal object and the measurement of the secondary electromagnetic field induced by these currents.
Able to work with coils of different diameters (coils up to 120 – 150 cm in diameter) automatically adjusting to work with them. The metal detector can be effectively used to search for any metal objects, up to 4 meters in depth, based on the installed coil. It has a good “chuiku” on small objects.
Clone PI AVR metal detector has a display backlight for working at night. There is a drift from the ground (depending on the moisture content and the content of metal-like impurities). In the settings of the device there is also an indication of the battery power (when the set level is reached, the detector automatically switches off, which is important when running on battery power). There is a barrier, a threshold of sensitivity at which the metal detector operates on a metal object. Powered by energy sources of 12 volts, power consumption with illumination of approximately 150 mA.
